Spiritual Coaching
The spiritual path has been called a razor’s edge. If you’re walking on such a narrow path you need maps, guidance, and a good sense of balance. Phil can help you find all three … and all the other resources you need on your journey to higher states of being.
Whether you’re a devoted adherent of a religious tradition, a member of an unconventional spiritual community, or an unaffiliated, independent seeker, you will run into confusing paradoxes, difficult choice points, and other challenges along the way. As you progress, you may need to upgrade and reset the “Spiritual Positioning System” within you. You may need to rethink or redefine precepts you had taken for granted. You may be moved to make changes in your outer life to accommodate a new spiritual directive. You may benefit from learning new techniques and practices, or from recalibrating old ones, to access the sanctuary of peace and fortress of strength at the core of your Being.
All these and more are common features of life on the path. By making wise, self-aware decisions at each crossroads, apparent obstacles become stepping stones and hurdles become launching pads.
Phil is a veteran of more than half a century on the ever-changing spiritual path. As a seeker, teacher, author, and ordained Interfaith Minister, he has studied all the world’s spiritual traditions, with special emphasis on the integration of ancient Eastern ideas and practices into our lives in the modern West. Through his writing, speaking, and one-on-one counseling, he has helped people of all paths overcome spiritual obstacles and accelerate their progress toward union with the Sacred, however they may define it.
Practical Spirituality with Philip on Substack
Phil posts two or three times a week on his Substack. Most of his posts are short essays related to the theme of Practical Spirituality–advice, guidance, commentary on spiritual concepts, quotes from and tributes to spiritual luminaries, spiritual takes on current events, etc. Sometimes, the posts are announcements about his offerings or those of teachers he respects. Once in a while, he’ll range further afield and share something on his mind, whether serious or humorous.
You can subscribe for free and get most of his postings in your Inbox. You can also become a paid subscriber and take advantage of special offerings, such as: monthly Zoom gatherings where people come together to share insights and concerns about life on the spiritual path in these challenging times. Most sessions have special guests who add fresh perspective and expertise. Other offerings for paid subscribers include transcripts of selected podcast interviews with spiritual teachers and jokes, stories, and cartoons that combine spiritual insight and belly laughs–because spirituality is serious business and also a hoot.
